Terms & Conditions

Attire: All riders MUST wear enclosed shoes with a small heal and long pants. Canyonleigh Trails provides helmets before the activities, Riders are welcome to bring their own helmet: However it will be thoroughly inspected and approved by Canyonleigh Trails.
Age: Minimum age for Pony Experiences are 2 years old. Minimum age for Trail Rides are 11 years old. All children must be under Parent/Guardian supervision.
Arrival: Please arrive on time or 15 minutes before your booking time, late arrivals may result in a shortened or rescheduled experience. Guests who are 15 minutes late to their booking will forfeit the booking time with no refund.
Cancellation by guests: A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or changes to your booking. Cancellations after 24 hours will not receive their deposit fee.
Cancellations by Canyonleigh Trails: Experiences may be cancelled by Canyonleigh Trails due to operational or safety reasons (e.g. Weather conditions). In such case the guests will be contacted by Canyonleigh Trails to reschedule or to cancel with a full refund of your deposit.
Refunds: We are not required to give cash refunds, all of our refunds will be given out in the form of our gift cards. If riders chose not to ride at the time of their booking they will not be given a refund. If riders choose to cut an experience short they will not get a refund or discounted half price.
Guest information: For safety and comfort, guests will be required to provide their height, weight and rider experience at the time of booking to ensure appropriate horse allocation and guide preparation. A Liability Risk Waiver and Riding Application, Medical Form will be required to be completed prior to commencing the experience. We have the right to remove you from the property if you are hostile towards our animals or our staff members.
Experiences: Prices are set to per person for each experience.
Weather Policy: In the event of extreme weather (e.g. Fire danger, Storms, Heavy rain), the experience may be rescheduled or refunded at Canyonleigh Trails discretion. In such cases guests will be contacted by Canyonleigh Trails.
No-Show Policy: Guests who fail to attend their scheduled booking without prior notice will forfeit their booking and are not entitled to a refund.
Personal Belongings & Photography: Guests are responsible for their personal belongings not Canyonleigh Trails. Photography during the ride should only be done when it is safe to do so, Canyonleigh Trails also takes photos during the experiences under the guests consent.
Availability: All experiences are subject to availability and may be altered or substituted at the operators discretion.
Fitness & Health: Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and mobility. These experiences are not suitable for guests who are pregnant or have certain health conditions (e.g. Neck or back issues). Please disclose any relevant health conditions prior to booking or on our Rider Application, Medical Form at time of arrival. We have the right to refuse you from getting on a horse if we deem you at risk due to any medical/health conditions.
Extra: It is a condition when making a booking and/or entering the property of Canyonleigh Retreat the grounds which Canyonleigh Trails operate from; All participants agree to be bound by and accept our full terms and conditions including our cancellation policy. You agree upon entering Canyonleigh Retreat and/or participating in any activities Canyonleigh Trails provide that they are inherently dangerous recreational activities pursuant to the Civil Liability Act 2002. If you choose to do so, you do so entirely at your own risk waiving all rights to claim for personal injuries, including injuries arising from the negligence of the proprietor.
Safety is paramount when riding at Canyonleigh Trails and we are proud of our Safety records. Horse Riding is an outdoor activity so please come prepared for all weather conditions. Instructions and mounting are part of the experience.
